Today the number of tiles exceeds 550. Jean Cocteau, Adriano Celentano, Anita Ekberg and many more left there their autographs.

There is a beautiful sculpture of two figures in embrace in the centre of the wall. According to local legend this pair founded Alassio in the Xth century. The girl Adelasia was the daughter of Ottone I of Saxony, the emperor of the Sacred Roman Empire. She fell in love with Aleramo, a young and poor knight. Her father was very angry about that. The pair fled from the palace and hid in the mountains until the emperor pardoned them and gave them this piece of land as a gift.
